China lysine prices plunge 6% amid tough competition

Lysine prices dropped significantly during the week ending November 13.

Facing bloating inventories lysine producers slashed prices in attempts to entice buyers. Over the week, lysine prices fell 5.5% on average across China.

For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted prices were lower at RMB10.90-11.15/kg.

With the soymeal market staying soft, limited usages of lysine will add pressure to the market.
