Shandong's soybean imports rise to 47.8 percent in Q3

 

 

Shandong Port declared a total import of 4.39 million tonnes of soybean in the first three quarters, a 47.8-percent increase year-on-year.

 

The average import price reached US$336/t, rising by 29.2 percent from last year's figure, according to Qingdao Customs.

 

Shandong's soybean imports through general trade accounted for 4.3 million tonnes, registering a 15.9-percent increase. General trade makes up for 98 percent of the total soybean imports. Imports through processing trade meanwhile account for 90,000 tonnes, recording a drop of 30 percent on-year.
