Romanian poultry producer forecasts 23 percent turnover growth 

Romanian poultry producer and distributor, Ave Impex, projects a turnover increase of 23 percent on annual basis.

The Romanian company closed 2006 with a net profit of US$2.13 million on a turnover of US$22.85 million.

Ave Impex has set aside US$5.88 million for investments for 2007, mainly to modernise production facilities and expand capacity at its slaughter house, a project scheduled for completion by March 2008. Next year, the company plans to invest US$4.4 million to upgrade and expand its poultry farm capacity.

Ave Impex also opearates the restaurant chain Ave Chicken with six units, which it plans to expand to 10 or 12 units by the summer of 2008.

Ave Impex's main competitors on the local market include Transavia, Agricola Bacau, Agrisol International, Avicola Iasi and Avicola Calarasi.
