Market analysis

AA broiler

Supplies of AA broiler increased as a large quantity of contract chicken were due for release. In regions where demand was not as robust, prices softened over the week. On average, prices of AA broiler inched lower 0.32%.

Chick prices showed signs of stabilising, settling in the range of RMB2.40-3.40/chick.

China breed broiler

With release volumes limited, prices of China breed broiler consolidated higher, up by 0.12% during the period in review. Prices of day-old chick remained weak amid low buying interest.

Market forecast

Broiler prices are projected to consolidate around the current range in the coming week. With demand for chicken sluggish during this time of the year, prices are less likely to rebound strongly in the near term.
