Global markets

In Europe, quotes for Q4 orders were at EUR3.45-3.50/kg. Most buyers have reportedly accumulated stocks sufficient to last for the year.

Market analysis

Although one major supplier reduced prices over the week, most traders were reluctant to stock inventories as prices remained high. Meanwhile, feed millers and farmers were prudent with their purchases while feed demand was lukewarm.

Market forecast

Prices of methionine are seen lower with feed demand expected to be limited in the near term.
