China's live animal export up 10 percent

 

 

China reported an export value of US$268.5 million worth of live animals in the first three quarter of 2007, achieving a 10 percent growth year-on-year.

 

The export of meat and pig internal organs dropped by 17.6 percent to US$345.1 million, while exports of poultry and poultry offal rose 47.1 percent to US$179.3 million, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

 

China's aquatic product export was at US$3.37 billion, rising slightly at 0.2 percent on-year.
