China to urge Russia to end ban on Chinese meat

China would be urging Russia to end a ban on Chinese agric-products before the end of this year, China's vice premier Wuyi said on the 10th China- Russia Regular Preparatory Committee Meeting.

Wuyi said the lifting of the ban would ensure a regular supply of meat from China to Russia and wheat from Russia to China.

The leaders of the two countries periodically consult the committee to gain feedback on a host of agricultural issues. 

The committee also hopes to strengthen cooperation on food safety, quality assurance and meat and vegetable hygiene.
