China's pork and chicken prices drop in October, beef rises

The average retail price of pork in 36 Chinese medium and large cities was RMB12.51/500g, dropping by 2.8 percent month-on-month, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.

Chicken prices fell 0.55 percent while egg prices fell 3.06 percent.

Average retail prices of chicken and eggs were at RMB7.19/500g and RMB3.8/500g respectively

Meanwhile, the average retail prices of boneless beef and mutton rose by 2 percent and 3.57 percent respectively to RMB12.72/500g and RMB14.52/500g.
