Russia harvests 83.8 million tonnes of grain in bunker weight

Russia has finished the grain harvest for 2006 harvesting about 83.8 million tonnes of grain in bunker weight.

Gross grain yield (without maize) fell by 424,000 tonnes and totalled 80.79 million tonnes while wheat dropped 3.5 million tonnes to 47.3 million tonnes, according to Ministry of Agriculture in Russian federation.

Harvest of grain maize increased by 19 percent from last year while sunflower rose 3 percent.
