Ukraine's farmers appeal for grain export quotas cancellation
The association of farmers and private landowners appealed to the Ukrainian President to get involved into the situation with grain exports, and also demands the government to cancel grain export quotas supplies.
The association of farmers and private landowners demands to immediately cancel any grain export limitations, because grain export supplies blocking brings the colossal losses to Ukrainian agricultural producers-according to the preliminary data they exceeded the level of UAH10 billion (US$1.26 billion), stated the association of farmers and private landowners.
According to them, Ukraine is able to export 16 million tonnes of grains in the terms of the harvested grain volumes, which total 41 million tonnes.
Grain export limitations cause the domestic prices collapse, according to the association. Besides, the association noted that due to the elevators overloading, agrarians are not able to harvest corn crop, because they have no where to storage it.
As a reminder, Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation has previously stated that the grain export quotas regime was imposed illegally, and the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine #938 dd. 04.10.2010 has no the juridical force.
