Ukraine reaps 41 million tonnes of grain harvest
Ukrainian agricultural enterprises have harvested 41.005 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops as of November 10, according to the Agricultural Policy Ministry.
Farmers have threshed 14.491 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops out of the 14.652 million hectares they plan to harvest (99% of the forecast). The average yield is 28.3 centners (1 centner=100 kg) per hectare.
The harvesting of corn is continuing - 11.573 million tonnes has been harvested from 2.537 million hectares (out of the planned 2.670 million hectares) at the average yield of 45.6 centners per hectare.
Agricultural enterprises have completed the harvesting of soy. They harvested 1.623 million tonnes of soy from 1,016,000 hectares (out of the planned 1.059 million hectares) at the average yield of 16 centners per hectare.
As of August 31, farmers had completed the harvesting of early grain crops, including 17.918 million tonnes of wheat, 9.236 million tonnes of barley, 485,000 tonnes of peas, 512,000 tonnes of rye, and 1.429 million tonnes of rapeseed.
