Taiwan's MFIG buys 60,000 tonnes US corn from Cargill

Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group (MFIG) bought 60,000 tonnes of US No. 2 yellow corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Thursday, a Taipei-based trader said.

MFIG bought one cargo of corn-it paid US$133.89/tonne for 35,210 tonnes, and 132.90 US cents for every bushel over CBOT March contract for the remaining 24,790 tonnes, the trader said.

Both prices are after cost and freight. The cargo is to be shipped Dec 17-31 from the US Gulf, or Jan 1-15 from the Pacific Northwest.
