Bulgaria lifts ban on Greek poultry imports
Bulgaria has lifted its ban on Greek poultry imports due to bird flu, following the recent negative test results for turkey samples from Greece, the government said.
Bulgaria had earlier banned all Greek poultry imports, except for products that had undergone thermal treatment.
Greece's government has also urged neighbouring countries to lift their bans on Greek poultry imports, in light of the negative test results.
However, Bulgaria still maintained its ban on poultry imports from Turkey and Romania, which were recently hit by the H5N1 strain of bird flu.
