China International Animal Health Summit 2009: Boosting China's feed-to-meat sectors

 
 

The China International Animal Health Summit successfully gathered feed-to-meat industry's key players on October 15-16, 2009 at the Swissôtel Beijing Hong Kong Macau Center, Beijing.

 

The summit was organised by Duxes Business Consulting Inc., and supported by International Federation for Animal Health (IFAH) and International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF). With the participation of government officials and MNCs worldwide, the event attracted high profiled delegates from 46 businesses.

 

Eminent guest speakers from Chinese government provided presentations on administrative measures of animal epizootic and regulations, supervision on import and export inspection, as well as quarantine of feed and feed additives.

 

Top executives from Tianbao Biopharmaceutical, New Hope Group, Feed Innovation Service, ADM, Alpharma, Kemin Industries, Novus, Biomin, DSM, Muyang Group and Hypor China shared valuable insights on the animal health industry and also on food safety and disease prevention.

 

The topics included "Supervision on Import and Export Inspection and Quarantine of Feed and Feed Additives," "Administration Measures of Animal Epizootic," "Outlook of Chinese Animal Health Industry" and "Feed Safety in Pig Breeding System."

 

All these gave timely lessons for the attendees on how to improve the feed-to-meat chain and what are the things to expect in the immediate future. The summit also covered tips on the practical feed formulation for healthier animals, balancing animal health and human health.
