Taiwan Sugar Corp buys US corn, soybeans in tender
Taiwan Sugar Corp. bought 35,000 tonnes of US-origin corn and 12,000 tonnes of US-origin soybeans from trading house Marubeni in a tender concluded Thursday (Nov 9), a trader in Taipei said.
While 10,000 tonnes of corn will be supplied at 218.97/tonne, the remaining quantity will be supplied at a premium of 186.76 US cents a bushel to the Chicago Board of Trade March contract.
For the soybeans, 6,000 tonnes will be sold at US$322.12/tonne, while the remaining quantity will be sold at a premium of 203.68 cents/bushel to the CBOT January contract.
The corn and soybean shipment will be delivered to Taiwan Nov 27-Dec 11 if shipped from the US Gulf or Dec 12-26 if shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
