FOB prices of Peru's FAQ fishmeal rose prominently by US$180/tonne to US$1,770/tonne over the week, as buyers placed orders eagerly amid fears of a supply crunch. Compared with the 2.5 million tonnes fishing quota during the same period last year, the current new season's quota of 810,000 tonnes was drastically low.
