Brazil's Jan-Sep soy exports to China rise to US$11.61 million
From January-September 2012, Brazilian soy exports to China totalled US$11.61 million, as compared to US$9.6 million on-year.
According to figures from Brazilian trading company Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab), in the first nine months of this year Brazil exported 22.11 million tonnes of soy to China, which was an increase of 13.33% against the same period of 2011.
Around 71% of all the soy produced in Brazil was exported to China.
Brazil is one of China's main suppliers of soy after the US which, following the bad weather that affected the country's central region, saw a considerable drop in its production.
