Moldova to export 240,000 tonnes of feed grains

Moldova plans to export 240, 000 tonnes of feed grains for the current 2010 harvest, said Vasiliy Bumakov, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.

He added that the country supplied 85,000 tonnes of feed grains currently for export trading, or almost 36% from the general export potential.

Bumakov also said that there was no need to keep feed grains in the country. In order to provide the required sowing preparations for the new agricultural year, grain producers have to sell the grain volumes at favourable prices.

Bumakov underlined that Moldova does not plan to export milling wheat as the existing stocks of the grain in the country satisfies the domestic requirements.
