Ukraine meat output up slightly in September

 

 

In September, Ukrainian meat processing enterprises boosted production of meat and by-products of the first category by 4.2 percent to 82,974 tonnes, compared with August.

 

In September 2009, production of meat and by-products of the first category grew by 6.5 percent or 5,079 tonnes, compared with September 2008.

 

In January-September 2009, production of meat and by-products of the first category decreased by 0.3 percent or 2,038 tonnes, compared with January-September 2008, to 678,193 tonnes.

 

According to local media reports, in August, meat processing enterprises reduced production of meat and by-products of the first category by 3.4 percent or 2,815 tonnes to 79,665 tonnes, compared with July.

 

In 2008, compared with 2007, production of meat and by-products of the first category rose by 1.2 percent or 10,714 tonnes to 925,800 tonnes.

 

In 2007, production of meat and by-products of the first category made up 915,086 tonnes.
