Canada offers timely delivery for feed wheat

The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) is offering a Guaranteed Delivery Contract for feed wheat for the first time, according to a release from the CWB.

Guaranteed Delivery Contracts guarantee producers delivery by a specific date and allow the CWB to more effectively market feed wheat by ensuring supply to customers, the release said.

Registration began Nov 7 and runs until Nov 30 or until enough grain is signed up to meet current sales requirements, whichever comes first, the CWB said.

Producers can also apply for an Early Payment Option contract on the committed metric tonnes to maximize cash flow.

Producers with a Fixed Price, Basis Payment Daily Price Contract can apply Guaranteed Delivery Contract feed wheat deliveries against those contracts for payment, the CWB said.
