Sulphate feed additives markets under pressure in China

Cupric sulphate

Feed demand reduced during October, limiting the usage of sulphate feed additives. In efforts to entice buyers, producers of cupric sulphate lowered prices.

Poor hog rearing returns will likely curtail the demand for cupric sulphate, holding prices flat.

Zinc sulphate

Zinc sulphate producers cut prices amid lacklustre demand as output costs remained stable due to flat zinc futures prices.

Cautious mood of livestock producers and feed millers will limit the sales of zinc sulphate in the coming period.

Manganese sulphate

Although the demand for manganese sulphate was flat, producers were cautious in reducing prices as output costs are likely to rise due to higher utility costs during winter.

Manganese producers will attempt to stand firm on prices amid likely increase in output expenses. Nonetheless, with demand fundamentally weak, prices of manganese sulphate are less likely to move higher.

Ferrous sulphate

Spot supplies of raw ingredients remained limited, prompting ferrous sulphate producers to keep prices firm.

Ferrous sulphate prices are likely to move higher in the coming period as buyers restock depleting inventories amid limited supplies.
