Russia lifts ban on poultry imports from US state Michigan

Russia's veterinary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor Tuesday (Nov 7) said it lifted its ban on poultry imports from the US state of Michigan as of Nov 2.

Russia temporarily banned poultry imports from Michigan Aug 19 after reports of bird flu in the state.

In 2005, the US exported 742,390 tonnes of poultry worth some US$600 million to Russia.
