AKVA to supply fish production control system to Norway Royal Salmon

AKVA group has signed a contract for the delivery of Fishtalk software to Norway Royal Salmon, including the software for production control, Fishtalk Control, as well as the biological and economic planning tool, Fishtalk Value Chain Planner (VCP).

Torstein Tiller, Executive Vice President for Administration and Chain Operations in Norway Royal Salmon, said they needed a robust tool for reporting and analysis that is both easy to use, and which meets all their needs.

Norway Royal Salmon's business is spread all along the Norwegian coast, with independent production companies and processing & value-added businesses. Fishtalk will provide the company with a solution that satisfies both the local needs of individual farmers, while maintaining the central requirements of the group, he said.

The possibility for integration simplifies and assures the quality of the data from processing to manufacturing, Tiller added.
