Alltech appoints new operations manager for Asia-Pacific region

Animal health and nutrition company, Alltech, has appointed Zachary Purdom as operations manager for the Asia-Pacific region.
He will head the Asia Pacific operations team, overseeing manufacturing and distribution throughout the region.
Purdom started out as an operations trainee in 2010 and was involved in various operations departments. He also had a significant participation in the start-up of Alltech Algae.
Upon completing these projects and management training, Purdom was appointed operations manager for Lakeland Animal Nutrition, one of Alltech's feed acquisitions.
In addition to Purdom's appointment, Ravindra Neralla has been promoted to Asia-Pacific project manager for operations. He will be responsible for special projects and initiatives across the Asian region, overlooking into matters involving acquisitions, manufacturing investments and product strategies.
A 10 years veteran with Alltech, Neralla has been instrumental in the start up of the company's first production operations in India and subsequently moved to Mexico to run and expand Alltech's sophisticated solid state fermentation plant.
In 2009, he was appointed as regional operations manager and helped to establish Alltech's organic trace mineral and coating facility in Tianjin, China.
Purdom and Neralla's appointments are part of a recent series of promotions to strengthen Alltech's regional position in the Asia-Pacific.
