Norway seafood exports stagnant in October
The growth of Norwegian exports of seafood has begun stagnating with exports totalling NOK4.9 billion (US$861.3 million) in October, up one percent as compared to last year, according to statistics from Eksportutvalget for Fisk.
Mackerel catches are lower-than-normal due to EU disagreements, while salmon exports are increasing. The countries that buy most salmon from Norway are France and Poland.
So far in 2009, Norway's seafood exports have increased by 16 percent to NOK35.7 billion.
