AVEVE obtains European registration for enzyme product AveMix

Aveve Biochem NV has obtained European registration for its enzyme product AveMix® XG 10 for use in pigs for fattening, minor porcine species and turkeys for fattening.

The European Commission concluded that the additive has the potential to improve the zootechnical performance in pigs for fattening and that this conclusion can be extrapolated to minor porcine species for fattening other than Sus scrofa domesticus. The Authority also concluded that the additive has the potential to improve the final body weight and feed to gain ratio in turkeys for fattening.

AveMix® XG 10 is a multi-enzyme combination for application in pig and poultry feeds containing corn, cereals and soy. It contains a multi-enzyme combination from Trichoderma spp. Main activities are endo-1,4-ß-xylanase (EC 3.2.1.8) and endo-1,3(4)-ß-glucanase (EC 3.2.1.6)

The product is already registered for use in broilers, layers, minor poultry species and piglets under EU number 4a9. Together with this new registration, AveMix® XG 10 is one of the few non-starch polysaccharides(NSP) enzymes that are registered in the EU for all species.
