A dip in fertiliser sales pushed sulphur and sulphuric acid prices sharply lower in late October, putting a respite on calcium phosphate rallies earlier. However, tight availability of phosphorous ore partly offset the impact by providing some cost support.

Despite a downturn in sulphuric acid market, calcium phosphate sees limited downside risks in the near term on the back of limited producer inventories and the approaching festive restocking drive. Profit margins for calcium phosphate remain high at the current market prices.
