Evonik announces global price increase for L-Threonine

The health and nutrition business unit of Evonik Industries AG (Germany), has announced a global price increase for L-Threonine 98.5% feed grade.

The company is increasing its L-Threonine net price for full truck and container loads by EUR0.19/kg (USD0.27/kg) for all non-contract customers immediately. Depending on logistic costs and exchange rates, the actual selling price may vary by world areas.

The main reasons are the continuing rise in fermentation costs driven by the sharp increase of key raw material prices in the last six months.    

All existing commitments and supply contracts will be honoured and are unaffected by this price increase.
