Russia July-October grain exports reach 8 million tonnes

Russia exported 8 million tonnes of grain in July-October, the first four months of the current marketing year, which is 8 percent less than in the corresponding period in the previous marketing year, the national railway grain transportation operator Rusagrotrans said Tuesday (November 3).

Rusagrotrans said it expected grain exports in November to total 2.1 million tonnes compared with 1.68 million tonnes in November 2008. Thus Russia's total grain exports in July-November are forecast at 10.1 million tonnes compared with 10.4 million tonnes in July-November 2008.
