China aims for 2010 grain output capacity of 500 million tonnes per year
China's government on Tuesday (November 3) said it plans to attain grain production capacity of 500 million tonnes in 2010, raising it to 530 million tonnes in 2015 and 550 million tonnes or higher in 2020.
In a statement on its Web site, the National Development and Reform Commission said China will use public spending and other measures to help increase grain production capacity.
