Supply from major producers has been short for the past two weeks. One major producer's price was quoted at RMB 260/kg while prices from smaller producers were quoted at RMB 230-250 /kg

Buyers are replenishing stocks as inventories got lower. Prices are stable to marginally higher.

In the north, prices of imported vitamin E were at the range of RMB 217- RMB 222 while the prices for local products were between RMB212-RMB217. Prices in the south were higher, with cash-transactions priced slightly lower.

VE prices are unlikely to see any rise in the near term with lacklustre domestic and export demand.
