China lysine imports down by 1,230 tonnes in September

 


China imported about 3,485 tonnes of lysine in September 2005, down by 1,230 tonnes or about 26 percent from August.


In particular, imports from Indonesia and South Korea totalled 731 tonnes and 1,633 tonnes respectively, down 238 tonnes and 392 tonnes respectively from August.


From January to September 2005, China's accumulative lysine imports totalled 42,761 tonnes.


Meanwhile, imports from Brazil totalled about 263 tonnes, down by more than half from August. Imports from the US totalled 400 tonnes, down by 525 tonnes or 56.8 percent from August.
