China fishmeal imports down 35.3 percent in September
China imported 165,071 tonnes of fishmeal in September 2005, down 35.3 percent from the previous month, and a 15.3 percent fall compared with the same period last year.
The September imports came mostly from:
Peru: 120,595 tonnes;
Chile: 15,504 tonnes;
US: 10,299 tonnes.
From January to September 2005, China's fishmeal imports totalled 1,394,410 tonnes.
