US Poultry & Egg Association will not cancel International Poultry Expo
We have received a couple of inquiries about whether the US Poultry & Egg Association was debating cancelling the next International Poultry Expo due to avian influenza. The answer is no. The International Poultry Expo would be held January 25-27, 2006, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, US.
H5N1 HPAI does not exist in the United States. USPOULTRY believes that poultry companies and the US government are taking the necessary precautions to keep it out and to help limit the possibility of human illness. Some scientists said the virus has not developed the ability to move easily from human to human.
We invite you and your readers to visit this extraordinary showcase of products and services for the poultry and egg industry. We have more than 700 exhibitors and an enhanced educational programme scheduled. For more information on the IPE, visit www.ipe06.org.
