Anitox hires new sales manager for Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg

Anitox has appointed feed industry specialist, Pieter Vos, as Sales Manager for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
The company is a global leader in pathogen elimination, mould control, milling efficiency and fermenting productivity programmes for the primary meat, egg and fish production sectors, together with the feed milling and biofuel industries.
Commenting on his new role, Pieter states, "This is an excellent time to be joining Anitox. There is a tremendous need for the company's products and services in The Benelux because, in common with many other countries, the pig industry here has substantial problems with levels of Salmonella and other pathogens. In The Netherlands, for example, pig farms are placed in one of three categories when it comes to Salmonella and producers who receive a Category three grading are required to take effective measures to deal with the problem.
"Despite efforts to control the major pathogens such as Salmonella and E. Coli they remain of major concern to pig producers and feed manufacturers. My feeling is that the problems are greater than they appear. Only recently, Salmonella was at the centre of a major public health outbreak in The Netherlands, which has further raised awareness of the need for effective control measures to ensure that public health is protected. Producers will also benefit substantially in terms of improved livestock performance by doing so, improving their profitability."
Anitox has more than 35 years experience of innovation in the areas of bacteriological and mould control in finished livestock feeds, together with the raw materials which are used to produce them.
