China's lysine imports in September unchanged from August
China imported 1,246 tonnes of lysine in September, almost unchanged from August.
For the period from January to September 2006, China's lysine imports totalled 15,490 tonnes worth about US$18.784 million.
In particular, imports from Thailand totalled 264 tonnes, down 442 tonnes compared with August. Shipments from the US registered 225 tonnes. Imports from South Korea rose 458 tonnes from August to reach 663 tonnes.
