China imports more methionine in September
China's methionine imports in September totalled 8,232 tonnes, up 1,543 tonnes from August.
For the period from January to September 2006, imports totalled 60,641 tonnes worth about US$130.28 million.
Imports from Japan totalled 3,835 tonnes in September, up 938 tonnes compared with August.
Combined import volume from Germany and Belgium reached 3,496.5 tonnes, up 796.5 tonnes from the previous month.
Imports from France and Russia totalled 660 tonnes and 220 tonnes respectively.
