Ukraine ensures exports of planned 30 million tonnes

By the end of the marketing season, Ukraine ensures exports of the planned 30 million tonnes of grain as the country is reaching the maximum pace of grain shipments of over three million tonnes per month.

This is according to Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk.

He said that ships with a capacity of more than 800,000 tonnes were currently at Ukrainian ports and that over 350,000 tonnes had been loaded on them. "We are continuing to cooperate with all players on the grain market to fully coordinate their work. It's necessary for strengthening Ukraine's positions on the foreign market. However, with a further increase in the yield and exports its necessary increase infrastructure capabilities. Therefore, one of the most important aspects in the agricultural sector development strategy until 2020 is investment in the development of grain logistics," the minister concluded.
