Ingredion appoints new CFO and president for North American market

 


 
Ingredients solution company, Ingredion Incorporated, has appointed Jack Fortnum as its new chief financial officer.

 
He will replace Cheryl Beebe who is retiring on January 2014 due to health issues. Beebe is also Ingredion's executive vice president.


Fortnum, who joined Ingredion's former parent organisation, CPC International, in 1984, is currently the company's president for the North American market. Prior to his current position, he had held various executive positions within the region. 


Before joining operational management, he was involved in various financial roles, including corporate controller of corn products international, an appointment which he took from the time Ingredion went public until 2001.  At CPC International, he previously served as vice president (Finance, Canadian Corn Refining business) and director (Finance, Latin American Corn Refining business).


Fortnum holds a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Toronto, Canada.


In addition to Fortnum's appointment, Jim Zallie will take over the former's role as president for the North American markets. 


Zallie is currently Ingredion's president for the Asia Pacific and EMEA markets.  Formerly the CEO of National Starch, Zallie joined Ingredion in 2010 as part of a National Starch acquisition. He had worked at National Starch for over 27 years, serving various positions within technical, marketing and international business management. 


Zallie holds a master's degrees in food science and business administration from Rutgers University, US, and a Bachelor of Science in food science from Pennsylvania State University.
