Greece confirms no bird flu in turkey
Greece's government said final tests in Britain on the turkey suspected earlier with bird flu, had turned up negative for the disease.
Authorities also announced that as a result, all poultry trade restrictions have been lifted on the islands of Chios and Oinousses, where the suspected case was reported.
The government said that if similar cases appeared in future, "the exact same measures will be taken."
Meanwhile, Russia's government reported new bird flu outbreaks in the Tambov region, the Omsk region in eastern Siberia, and the Kurgan region in the southern Urals. The exact virus strain was not yet identified and no further details were given.
