Indian feed manufacturer opens new poultry, cattle feed pellet plant

Agocon's Agro Product have opened its new poultry and cattle feed pellet plant at a production site in Imphal, Manipur, India.

The first of its kind in the state, the feed plant is established to address the problem of poultry and cattle feeds shortages, a common issue in Manipur as transportation of goods are occasionally disrupted.

In the last few years, the number of meat consumers, as well as livestock farmers, has gone up substantially. Social Welfare & Co-operation Minister, AK Mirabai Devi, said that setting up of poultry and cattle feeds plant would further boost the State's economy.

She also observed that the increase in the number of small time poultry farmers have demonstrated  that the present generation are more inclinced towards self-employment ventures.

At the inauguration, SK Khana Retd, poultry disease and investigation officer of Ambala, Haryana, explained the benefits and advantages of pelleted compound feed.
