China lysine prices on weak trends
Prices moved lower during the week ended October 28.
Farming returns remained poor due to weak prices of livestock products. Consequently, slow demand for animal feed in conjunction with declining soymeal prices curtailed the sales of lysine.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine dropped to RMB14.20-14.80/kg.
A strong renminbi will continue to decimate export demands for lysine while poor performance of the livestock market and plunging soymeal prices limit domestic usage. Lysine market will stay soft in the coming period.
