Belarus sets temporary restriction on poultry import from India
Belarus on October 29 imposed a temporary ban on the import of live poultry and all kinds of poultry products from India due to bird flu.
According to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), cases of the highly pathogenic bird flu (H5N1) were registered in India (Karnataka state). In this regard, on October 29, Belarus imposed a temporary ban on the import of live poultry, hatching eggs, down and feather, poultry and all kinds of poultry products, feed and feed additives from the birds, and also second-hand equipment for poultry farms.
At the same time Belarus cancelled all previously issued permits for import of the above-mentioned goods into Belarus from India (Karnataka).
