Ukraine poultry population down three percent in Sept
Ukraine's poultry population declined 2.9 percent or 6.37 million heads from August to 215.4 million head as of October 1.
In private farms, the poultry population went down by 5.2 percent or 6.53 million heads, in specialised farms increased by 0.2 percent or 154,000 heads.
In comparison with October 1, 2008, poultry population rose by 4.1 percent or 8.567 million heads.
In specialised farms, the poultry population rose by 5.7 percent or 5.134 million heads, and in private farms poultry population rose by three percent or 3.433 million heads.
