China's blue ear disease affects more than 300,000 pigs
Blue ear pig disease had infected 310,134 pigs in 26 Chinese provinces as of October 25, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Monday (October 29), citing the Ministry of Agriculture.
The disease, also known as porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, is under initial control, Xinhua said.
The agricultural ministry said earlier that the disease had affected 290,000 pigs in China by late September, compared with 257,000 pigs by late August.
