Pakistan lifts ban on seafood export from harbour
Pakistan has lifted a ban on seafood export to Europe from an auction hall of the Karachi Fish Harbour one week after banning it due to quality and hygiene concerns.
Advisor to Sindh Chief minister Jadim Mangrio has said that changes have been made and the required standards have been adopted. Efforts are underway to bring the K-1 in line with European standards completely, he added.
The Director General of Marine Fisheries Department Comd and officials of the Fishermen Cooperative Society inspected the auction hall and gave it a clean bill of health after the inspection.
