Thailand's shrimp production still low despite reduced flooding risk in East (week ended Oct 24, 2013)
The quality of Thai shrimp is still accepted by the Japanese market, after detecting ethoxyquin in shrimp from India and Vietnam. Recently, Japan set the maximum residue limit (MRL) of ethoxyquin at 0.01 ppm. The new preliminary MRL of ethoxyquine will be 0.2 ppm and will be considered within 2013.
