Pakistan association urges grain yield improvement as poultry sector sees strong grows

The Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) has called for the improvement of agricultural production, specifically grains which are being used as poultry feeds, as the country's poultry sector may almost double in the next decade.

During a meeting with a Dupont delegation, Raza Mehmood Khursand, PPA's north zone chairman, pointed out that high poultry growth will require high production of food grains to be utilised in poultry feed.

The meeting discussed the issue of increasing yield of food grains while emphasising Dupont and PPA's role in the maximisation of agricultural produce in the country in order to benefit growers and the industry.

Both parties acknowledged the need to get farmers to adopt scientific measures which can increase per acre yield of wheat and other food grains.
