China's 2010-11 soy crush output to top 95 million tonnes
China will add 11 million tonnes of new soy crush capacity in 2010-11 (Oct/Sept), with total crushing capacity to top 95 million tonnes annually, said the China National Grain and Oils Information Centre (CNGOIC).
The capacity expansion has boosted China's increase of soy imports, the centre said.
The new capacity will mainly be in the coastal areas of Tianjin, Rizhao in the north and Jiangsu, Guangdong as well as Guangxi in the south, it added.
The centre expected the industry would process 58 million tonnes of soy into soymeal and soyoil next year, including 54 million tonnes of imports.
