Cherkizovo Group poultry sales up 6% on-year

The poultry sales of Russian meat processor Cherkizovo Group rose 6% on-year to 146,830 tonnes from January to September of this year, the company said Tuesday (Oct 26).

Cherkizovo Group's pork production rose 51% on-year to about 53,900 tonnes in this period, the company also said.

The group's processed meat sales increased 8% on-year to about 102,870 tonnes in this period.

Cherkizovo Group is one of the largest meat processors in Russia. Its poultry sales decreased 2% on the year to 184,300 tonnes in 2009.
